The members of Nadar community have shown their protest against Karthi's residence in T Nagar, Chennai. 'Siruthai' is the upcoming movie of the superstar.

The name of Karthi's character in this movie is 'Rocket Raja' and he is playing the role of a pickpocket. But Rocket Raja is the name of the Nadar community leader as well. This has been the major reason of the controversy.

The members of Nadar community have alleged that using their leader's name in this movie and for the role of a pickpocket will hamper his image. So they are not going to accept this as the name of their leader will be damaged badly.

The members are now demanding to remove the name 'Rocket Raja' from the movie immediately. They have raised slogans against the actor and the entire unit.

On the other hand, Karthi has said that the protestors need to watch the movie first before demanding such issues. He doesn't feel that the name should be removed from the movie and he has urged the people in protest to watch the movie first before commenting.
